How many people sit in each boat?
20 paddlers, 1 drummer, 1 steerer*
*We will provide the steerer on race day as that position often requires extra skill to direct the team with proper commands.
HOW LONG WILL THE EVENT LAST?
Opening Ceremonies begin at 10:00am! Races will take place from 11:00am to 4:30pm.

WILL TEAMS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE?
Yes! Each team will have a one-hour free practice with Dynamic Dragon Boat Racing staff the week prior to race day.
Extra practices can be purchased for $200 each.
IS A FULL TEAM NEEDED FOR PRACTICE?
No, but it is highly recommended you have as many people present as possible. Practice sign-ups begin August 14, 2020.

WHERE SHOULD WE PARK?
$5 all day parking will be in the lots of Nissan Stadium, adjacent to the east bank landing. Teams will be given 4 parking passes to park in lot r northwest for free. Be sure to pick up your parking passes at the captain’s luncheon or during your practice window.
WILL THERE BE ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN?
Yes! Dragon land offers a variety of educational activities for children as well as inflatables to keep kids occupied for hours!
WILL THERE BE FOOD AT THE FESTIVAL?
Yes! There will be a variety of food trucks and vendors at the festival serving lunch, coffee, snacks, treats, etc. for purchase. You can also pre-order boxed lunches for your team. The boxed lunch pre-order form can be found in the at the end of this packet. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the Dragon Boat Cantina.
WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE RACE?
Each team is guaranteed two races along the 250 meter course. The average of the first 2 races race times determines the divisional winner and the top 12 teams that will advance to the third round. The top 3 teams in the third round win gold, silver, and bronze medals.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Yes! The festival is pet-friendly. Metro Parks asks that all dogs remain on the leash while in Cumberland Park and you are responsible for cleaning up after your pet.
